Let down even though this is my 6th purchase from WC
I love the wide calf boot because I am unable to wear regular width boots. I ordered my 4th and 5th pair of boots from WC (after I contacted them to make sure the sizing was same as the other pairs I purchased previously). At shipping I was notified one pair was unavailable and when I received the other pair they were mis-sized and were not wide calf. I contacted and had numerous conversations with WC and they said it was their last pair and then quit responding to me.
It’s interesting, these are not cheap shoes and one would think the company wants to send out correct items and afterward be responsive when it’s obvious they didn’t.
Normally I would say how much I love the feel and comfort of WC but I guess I need to search for a different company to do business with.

The Walking Cradle Company
We're so sorry to hear of your disappointment with the Meadow and with our customer service in regards to your concerns! To add to our previous correspondence, our designer Jamie had this to say about the sizing in our tall-shafted boots: "The inconsistencies of our boot shaft widths are due to the fact that we are the only company who offers different boot shaft widths across different foot widths. The reason we are the only company to do so is because it is an incredibly complicated way to manufacture." Therefore, Teresa, as long as we continue to produce tall shafted boots in this way, unlike so many other manufacturers on the market, we are going to contend with problems such as yours.
Additionally, there are colored diamond-shaped stickers that are used on our tall-shafted boots that are to be used by our warehouse staff only, and in no way indicate actual sizing/widths. We realize this can be extremely confusing for our customers! The label that matters most in regards to sizing is the white sticker with the SKU number and style name. If the style name states "Meadow: Black Cashmere" (it is a Medium shaft width), if it states "Meadow: Black Cashere-W" (it is a Wide shaft width), if it states "Meadow: Black Cashmere-WW" (it is a Wide Wide shaft width). Again, the colored diamond-shaped stickers are not indicative of actual shaft or foot width as the white bar-code labels are. It doesn't look as though we had the additional stickers on this particular box, but we did want to share this information for any other customers who may find themselves in a similar predicament!
It looks as though customer service last responded to you on Jan 27th and hasn't heard anything since...We did not intend to disregard you or your concerns! If we can be of any additional assistance to you- if we happened to miss an additional message, e-mail or request- please please do not hesitate to reach back out to us if you would like!
