Mother's Day: Making Memories- Part Three

Happy Mother's Day to all the incredibly strong & beautiful women we all know and love!

This year, Mother’s Day is being celebrated much differently for most of us.
The one thing that no pandemic can take away is how much we all love the women in our lives.

Of course, we know that Mom always deserves a great pair of shoes, so we have all our new summer sandals on sale for 25% off through Monday, 5/11.

Shop, find the “MOM” tab and get yourself and any other deserving woman in your life a great pair of summer sandals!

This year, we have gathered pics and thoughts from our team at Walking Cradles and want to share those with you! Each day, we will feature 3 different ones for you to enjoy!

Courtney Sauget-McNail, Merchandising

Typically my Mother’s Day would be spent overindulging at a Mother’s Day brunch with my family. It’s a day to celebrate all of the strong, fearless women in my life, like my Mom and Sister, while remembering those desperately struggling to become mothers.

Courtney with her mom and older sister (guess which one is Courtney!)

Mother’s Day 2020 will still be spent with my Mom, husband, and son, but unlike years past, we will continue our social distancing efforts.  We will enjoy meals at home and if weather permits, work on planting flowers and a new Blue Spruce tree.

Mother’s Day isn’t usually casual, but given that we’ll be homebodies this year, I would be wearing the Orleans Leopard PrintIt gives any outfit more pizazz!

My mom would be wearing Heather because she loves extra footbed support and the ease of adjustability.

Editor’s note:  Courtney is expecting her second child in about 4 weeks!

Well, this will be one Mother’s Day for the record books. But one thing is for sure, a Mother’s love knows no boundaries, physical or otherwise. My own sweet Mom will be enjoying her special day in the comfort of her home as she looks forward to her 90th birthday later this month. We live 1200 miles apart, but we will be close in spirit as we are every day and will spend many hours on FaceTime. My son and my daughter, her husband and their now sixteen-month-old daughter all live near me, so as social distancing guidelines are relaxed, we will enjoy a lovely meal together for the first time in eight weeks.

In this photo, the adorable redhead is my Grand Niece. This photo was taken last Thanksgiving and shows the four generations of girls in the family. 😊

Time spent with loved ones is the best gift of all and I plan to wear Liberty with a cute sundress!

Here is a photo of me  with my mom, Charlotte, and my other blog mom, Lesley. Obviously, I need 2 mothers to keep me in line, haha!!

Since Mother's Day is all about being with the ones you love, we will be having a wonderful brunch together at our house. Luckily the weather is warm and we can hang out on the patio. I'm sure I'll be wearing my Kendra sandals because they go with every dress in my closet.

We hope you all have a lovely Mother's Day, no matter what that may consist of this year! Please follow us on our Facebook page and our Instagram to share with us your favorite Mother's Day memories, as well as your plans for this Mother's Day!
