Welcome to Part 1 of our 4-part series on Mother's Day from Walking Cradles team members. Join us over the next four days to read three separate stories each day about what we are doing this year to make lasting memories.
Mother’s Day is a time when we look forward to celebrating Mom’s everywhere. It’s usually a day where restaurants are packed with families giving Mom the day off, backyards full of Dad’s grilling, kids running around and Mom’s sipping on a well-deserved Mimosa or a nice, tall glass of iced tea.
This year, Mother’s Day is going to be celebrated much differently for most of us. The one thing that no pandemic can take away is how much we all love the women in our lives.
Of course, we know that Mom always deserves a great pair of shoes, so we have all our new summer sandals on sale for 25% off through Monday, 5/11. Shop walkingcradles.com, find the “MOM” tab and get yourself and any other deserving woman in your life a great pair of summer sandals!
This year, we have gathered pics and thoughts from our team at Walking Cradles and want to share those with you! Each day, we will feature 3 different ones for you to enjoy!

Here is a photo of my mom and I. She recently turned 90 years old. For Mother’s Day, we will be cooking her favorite dish, Shrimp Scampi, while still practicing social distancing.
Mom will be wearing her favorite Walking Cradle clogs!

The picture that is the most precious to me especially on Mother’s day is a picture of me, my Mom, my Grandma and my Great Grandma at church on Easter when I was about 6 or 7 years old. Unfortunately, my grandparents have since passed…So that being said, I would imagine us wearing the following on Mother’s Day if we could all be together:
Me: Kendra in Dark Camel

This photo was taken at my younger son’s graduation from Arizona State University 2 1/2 years ago. I love this picture because it’s very candid, and shows us having fun and laughing- something that I’m so thankful we do so often when we get together as a family (which is not as often now that my husband and I retired and live 2 hours from our sons).
This year for Mother’s Day I plan on doing another family zoom (we had one on Easter) because we are not sure with the virus if we will be permitted to travel and be together.
I’ll be wearing my new Keegan wedges, which are absolutely my favorite heels to date from Walking Cradles!
We hope you all have a lovely Mother's Day, no matter what that may consist of this year! Please follow us on our Facebook page and our Instagram to share with us your favorite Mother's Day memories, as well as your plans for this Mother's Day!
