It's always fun when we are introduced to new people through friends. Lorilyn Bridges is a perfect example of this! Through our opportunities to work with bloggers and influencers, we were introduced to Lorilyn. The first things you'll notice about Lorilyn are her dazzling smile and amazing hair! We loved how she always looked so stylish in her photos and knew that Walking Cradles would be a a great fit for both of us! The past couple of years we have partnered with Lorilyn several times and she has always shown such wonderful ways to style our shoes. The first shoe Lorilyn featured was our lovely Hepburn pump (no longer available).
Lorilyn also has a great story to tell, and while we are still waiting for the opportunity to meet in person, I feel we have been friends for years! We are delighted to share with you a little bit about Lorilyn and have her featuring two very popular Walking Cradles spring and summer shoes!
PLEASE SHARE WITH US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUR BACKGROUND.
My dad's parents were born in Sicily and my mom's parents were born in Spain. I've always been fascinated by my ethnic ancestry. The food, traditions and customs have had a huge influence in my life.
I have three amazing adult children and two stepchildren. My husband and I went to middle school and high school together and reconnected at our 30 year high school reunion. We've been married for 7 years, but have known each other forever.
WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO BECOME A SOCIAL MEDIA INFLUENCER?
I have a master's degree in Science Education with a minor in Educational Psychology and I guess I've always been a people person and a born educator.
Being a Social Media Influencer has given me a platform to give back all the accumulated wisdom, knowledge and optimism I've been blessed to gather through the years. It is a way to reach out and inspire others in positive ways.
PLEASE SHARE WITH EVERYONE WHAT A DAY IN THE LIFE OF LORILYN IS LIKE.
That is a great question. But, it doesn't have a simple answer!! 😉 My life is split between our 3 homes, but no matter where my day starts… it begins with a steaming hot cup of coffee.
I'm not a morning person, but will usually try to drag myself out of bed by 7 or 8 am. Then I'll spend my morning working on my Instagram account, catching up on emails/texts and connecting with my kids/family.
If I'm at our farm in Pennsylvania, there's usually a long "To-Do" List of chores both inside the house and outside with the animals. We have Highland Cattle, Alpine Goats and 3 dogs. And if the weather is good, you'll find me outside puttering in the gardens.
We also have a house on one of the Finger Lakes in New York State where my days are filled with boating, paddle boarding, antiquing, enjoying outdoor concerts, visiting local wineries and breweries, barbecuing and frequently will end with an evening bonfire.
But my most favorite days are those spent at our beach house on the Gulf Coast in Florida. To me there is nothing more wonderful than spending my day collecting seashells and shark teeth. This house is also a favorite place where our kids, families and friends love to gather and spend time with us.
WHAT ARE SOME HOBBIES/ACTIVITIES YOU ENJOY DOING?
If the sun is shining and the weather is good you will find me outside. There are endless outdoor activities I enjoy.
There is nothing I love more than being out in nature…I find it completely restorative on so many levels.
YOUR SENSE OF STYLE IS EVIDENT IN YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA PAGES AND CHANNELS, DO YOU HAVE A FAVORITE “LOOK?”
First of all, thank you so much for kindly complimenting my style. I've thought about if I have a favorite "Look" and I struggle to find one answer.
I LOVE so many styles.
Sometimes I think I'm preppy and classic…. But then I'm drawn to everything from hippy bohemian…. to rugged flannels…..to fluid silks.
There is one component of style which I find essential in anything I wear….. it must be Comfortable. ☺️
HAVE YOUR FOUND YOUR SHOE WANTS/NEEDS HAVE CHANGED OVER THE YEARS, AND IF SO, HOW?
It's very important that the shoes I choose be stylish and comfortable. That is what attracted me to Walking Cradles.
My husband and I travel extensively and I pride myself on "packing light". Walking Cradles offers me options that will take me from sightseeing all day to dinner at night.
I've also discovered lately that I have very high arches and again Walking Cradles provides wonderful options with amazing arch support.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT THE WALKING CRADLES SHOES YOU ARE WEARING IN THESE PHOTOS?

I want to remind women when it comes to fashion to embrace what's comfortable and stylish.
You really can have both.
Be true to yourself and let your attitude and mood help dictate your fashion choices. Also, remember simplicity and comfort are the true essence to achieving an elegant style.
