TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUR ROLE AT THE WALKING CRADLE COMPANY.
I’ve been at Walking Cradles for almost two years now. I began as a social media intern and have since began working full time within the creative department continuing in coordinating our social media, email marketing, and assisting in campaign development, blog features, and product copy for our e-commerce and also larger retailers.
TELL A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF AND WHAT YOU ENJOY OUTSIDE OF WORK HOURS.
I am 27 years young! I grew up in IL, but now in reside in Kirkwood, Missouri. I just recently became a new dog mom to a rescue pup named Grady! He’s so sweet, but a ball of energy just like all puppies!
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, and friends. I am so fortunate to have such a solid group of people in my life. Many of my friendships began over a decade ago, which I feel is so rare, and for that I am very blessed.
I love being able to get outdoors, and try new things. This of course has become somewhat of a challenge with the current covid situation, and with some of the crazy winter weather St. Louis has experienced in the last month or so, but I am ready and so looking forward what the summer has in store!
TELL US ABOUT ANOTHER WOMAN WHO HAS PLAYED AN IMPORTANT ROLE IN YOUR LIFE AND WHY.
My mom is my greatest inspiration. She has always taught me that you can conquer and accomplish anything you set your mind to. She never lets a challenge or obstacle stand in her way- if anything, it fuels her to make it happen even more. She has not only been the most selfless parent to my brother and I, but also our biggest advocate and best friend. I am my mother's daughter, and I couldn't be more proud.
Put Yourself First!! It's okay to follow your dreams, and be a little selfish when you're younger. So many of us decide not to take certain opportunities or maybe make the best decisions for our futures because we're afraid of leaving behind what's always been comfortable. Go for it! Do it all and more! Anything that's meant to be will be. As for your dreams, and success- you must put in the work!
BEFORE WORKING AT WALKING CRADLES, DID YOU CONSIDER THE IMPORTANCE OF SHOES FITTING PROPERLY AND COMFORTABLY? IF YES, WHEN AND WHERE DID YOU LEARN THIS VALUABLE INFORMATION. IF NO, TELL US HOW IT HAS CHANGED YOUR THOUGHTS ON FOOTWEAR?
Growing up I always went for "what looks good"- on foot, and price-wise. This meant the most trendiest pump or boot that I could find under $40. While you can certainly find great shoes on a bargain, they probably aren't the best in quality or support. That's where all the rolled ankles and sore feet came into play. After beginning at Walking Cradles, and being almost 28 years old, I am so ready to focus on what actually feels good, and also still looks amazing. Staying on trend- Check. Keeping comfortable no matter where your day takes you- Check. This company and our shoes has forever shifted my shoe expectations- for the better!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WALKING CRADLES SHOE AND WHY?
This is an almost impossible question to answer but I will narrow down my two favorite styles just for you!
The Shine bootie is just as comfortable as it is fab! This bootie is beyond versatile when it comes to styling with any look, in any season!
The Hudson sandal is so perfect for Spring and Summer! I cannot wait to wear these EVERYWHERE! As part of our Metro+ collection, the Hudson has an anatomically engineered arch support and heel cup with a super lightweight, flexible EVA•lution bottom. Plus, these sandals are of course designed with our super comfy, signature Tiny Pillows- keeping you endlessly comfortable!
– Walking Cradles thanks Lauren for her exceptional work she does here and for the example she sets for women everywhere. We love that at the young age of 27 she has realized the importance and the joy of wearing properly fitting shoes - and that we have shoes that Lauren's generation finds to their liking!
Join us tomorrow, March 16, to meet another fabulous female who makes things happen here at Walking Cradles!
